Gin is so hot right now...
Gin is so hot right now... ...but the weather is really cooling off, so when you're pondering a post-dinner cocktail this weekend, try taking your gin warm. Yes we know it’s a little unusual but we've covered this before...gin is a perfect warming spirit for a snug night in.
Perfectly paired with blue cheese and washed rind cheese, this simple sweet and spicy blend is guaranteed to earn you credits. We like to call it a G'n' Tea.
Steps:
- Combine 200ml of quality apple juice, 50ml fresh lemon juice, 50ml of Feebrothers Orange Bitters, and a couple of whole cinnamon sticks to a pan.
- Over a medium heat, bring to a simmer. Never let this boil.
- Add a couple of orange slices, a star anise and simmer for 1 minute, and remove from the heat.
- Immediately add 100ml of great Australian craft gin. Stir, and pour into a glass with a handle or a stem pre-garnished with a fresh cinnamon stick, an orange wheel and a star anise.
