The Strawberry Gin was developed in 2018 when the distillery's local area was impacted by quarantine and later, national food sabotage issues. Due to the restrictions placed on local growers and producers, large quantities of quality fruit were unable to be sold.

The Dasher + Fisher team didn’t like to see fresh produce go to waste ... so, when they were approached by local growers, asking if there was a product that their locally hand-picked strawberries could be used in… Dasher + Fisher decided to see what was possible and Dasher + Fisher Strawberry Gin was the result!

The strawberries (Fragaria × ananassa) are handpicked, hand sliced and hulled in summer and left to rest in our special recipe 19 botanical gin before bottling.

• Appearance: Soft red
• Nose: Lush, inviting strawberry and spice
• Palate: Sumptuous strawberry with subtle floral undertones
• Finish: A beautifully balanced mix of spice, fresh berry and sweetness, sensual
• Overall: The 2020 release has the same great strawberry taste but with a lower alcohol content. Sumptuous fresh strawberries from north-west Tasmania combined with Dasher+Fisher Gin create a glorious drink with subtle floral and spice undertones.
